Big Memorial Day Weekend

Michael has had a great memorial day weekend and it's not even over yet.

First, his second (front bottom right) and third(front top left) teeth have arrived. He has been taking it like a champ and you would never know he was teething. Hopefully our luck will continue.

Second, it's been raining here for days and luckily the weather cleared up for this weekend. Jaime and I decided it would be a good day to take Michael to the swings at the park. Michael had a blast! He wanted us to swing him higher and giggled the entire time.

Lastly, we tried the pool that Jaime and I bought Michael for his birthday. Michael and I played in the pool while Jaime got to mow the backyard! Michael wasn't sure about the pool at first, but then liked it. I'm sure he will be loving it by the end of the summer. Thanks to Auntie Loretta for my cool Mickey swim trunks!

Rita's Water Ice

I honor of Grandma Eleanor and Auntie Marina being in town, we piled into the car and took them to place that is near and dear to Jaime, Rita's Water Ice. Since they do not have these in L.A., he has a tradition of taking each of his family members to experience all that is water ice. Michael had his first ever Cherry Gelati. He loved the water ice and custard (even though he looks mad in the pics)and opened wide for every bite.

If you don't know Rita's, check out

Old MacDonald

In honor of the American Idol finale, Michael decided that today was a good day to exercise his voice! He should be all ready for auditions in 15 years... Watch out Simon!

Michael's First Birthday - 5.16.08

I cannot believe my sweet little baby is one year old. I never realized how quickly time passes as I do now. This past year has been absolutely WONDERFUL. I marvel at our son and how each of his milestones fill me with pride and awe.
We had Michael's party on Saturday, 5.17.08 at 2 in the afternoon. The weather was beautiful, high 60's with a cool breeze. We had about 12 people at our house to celebrate. We were very happy to have Jaime's mom Eleanor and sister Marina here for a long weekend. This was Marina's first time meeting Michael and he had a blast with his auntie and grandma.

Happy First Birthday Michael!!!

We are officially bloggers!

Creating a blog has been on my To Do list for some time now. I really wanted to begin before Michael was born. Fast forward 1 year and it is finally a reality, talk about procrastination! Actually it is more accurately described as having a tiny bit of extra time that I don't use to immediately fall asleep.

This past year has been wonderful and I want to be able to share our new memories for many years to come!

Welcome to our blog!!!
