We took Michael for his One Year pro pictures at Picture People today. Even though the session ran through his nap, he did wonderfully.
We ended up getting 12 pictures and Jaime even teared up when he saw them. Our little boy is getting so big! When we got home we realized that they duplicated one picture and left out another. Now we have to order that one.
Here are the pictures! Let us know if you're interested in any.

Michael's 1 Year Checkup
Yes, I know he's almost 14 months...
Anyway, here are his stats:
Height: 29 inches
Weight: 22 lbs
Head: 90th percentile
Michael got his MMR, Chicken Pox and Hep A shots. It was a new nurse and she was NO WHERE near as good as the normal nurse. She actually switched hands during each shot, prolonging the pain and the screaming. I wanted to yell at her since she did this for all 3 shots. We also had to get a blood test, which wasn't cool. They pricked him on his middle finger and it bled like crazy. I put a bandage on it and he proceeded to give everyone the finger for about 15 minutes. Until he pulled it off and tried to eat it.
We are all clear for all foods except peanut butter. Pedi prescribed flouride because we are lacking it in our drinking water. He also wants us to get rid of the bottle now, which we are in the process of doing.

Michael's new big toy.
Titi Carmen surprised Michael with a Little Tikes slide. He absolutely LOVES it, and it has now taken the place of the jumperoo, his old favorite toy. I also have some random pictures of Michael playing.

Our New Fridge!
Our Day at Adventure Aquarium
Ok, it was actually only about an hour and a half since Jaime and I were really sick. However, since we had prepurchased the tickets and Michael was feeling fine and not contagious, we decided to head out to the aquarium.
We had a wonderful time, and considering how close it was to closing time, we had the run of the place. Michael LOVED looking at all of the fish and the sharks. He even brought one home.
We can't wait to take him again when he's a little older.

Hand Foot Mouth Disease
Michael got Hand Foot Mouth Disease from daycare last week. He had a horrible rash and a few blisters on his legs, feet, arms and hands. Luckily he did not get any blisters on his face our in his mouth and throat. We took him to the pediatrician and he gave us the all clear on 7/3/08.
HFM is normally not contagious to adults, but Jaime and I both came down with flu-like symptoms and random blisters. It was not a good time.
On the bright side, now that we've all had it, we won't contract it again.
